Work to do

Dickson had a work team in place, including many of the students as well as a carpenter, and others. They were able to put all the gutters up around the house and I think start on the gutters at the orphanage. They also got the water tanks in place and ready to fill. The water filtration with the UV light is in place now as well, so now the water going into the orphanage will be purified. Yeah and hip hip hooray!!

Tomorrow the team (not sure if it is our team or the Kenya team) will put up clotheslines for the orphanage so they will no longer have to hang their clothes on the thorn bushes (which not only ruins their clothes but often drags bugs into their sleeping quarters).

Monday, Organics for Orphans come to the farm/ orphanage to begin the training for planting specific gardens and this is so exciting for everyone! They have the tools bought and are ready to go. Dad even has some sprinkler systems rigged up with hoses and duck tape, and all of you who know him can so appreciate his enthusiasm, inventions and ingenuity (I know I can)!!

They had their weekly youth service (which anyone is allowed to come to, even from the village) and Christine taught on ungodly soul-ties and then mom explained to them what soaking was. Then they all soaked to Laura Woodley’s CD, and as the last song played (You Are No Longer An Orphan), the team spontaneously went around the packed room and laid hands on all the kids……lots of tears, lots of incredible breakthrough, lots of love moving all through the place; we can only imagine! They love soaking!!
