This year at the Children's Home was the exciting event of the addition    

of a barn complete with cows, chickens, and turkeys.

As well as providing food and some income from the eggs,

the animals provide an opportunity for the children to learn

about feeding the livestock and taking responsibility to care for the animals.

This would include some of the older boys actually cutting

the long grasses, strapping them to the back of a bicycle

and then transporting the grasses to the animals for feed. This is very hard work.
