Located next door to the Children's Home in Bura, Taita Hills, is a Fruit Farm of 6.8 acres.

Heartbeat is trying to raise the funds ($60 000 Canadian) to buy this property complete with buildings.

The buildings consist of the main house, the servants' house, and fruit stand at the front gate.

Back view of main house. There is also a room with a separate entrance that could be used as a clinic. The field to the right is used as a garden. On the left side of the picture, the green hedge is a living thorn fence to keep out elephants and other wild animals that would destroy the trees.

The house will need some major renovation but we are hoping to bring working teams to help in this project.
