Village Outreach

In the village of Bura you can buy

fresh fruit and fresh vegetables daily

such as mangoes, bananas,

potatoes and cabbage, etc.

Or, you can go to the market

and buy dry goods such as beans, sugar and rice.

You can also buy clothing.

Our favorite pass-time was meeting the villagers who were friendly and helpful.

We met some at the water hole or outside their homes.

This young man has built a toy car out of sticks, styrofoam and bits of pop cans.

There is a bike repair shop in the village

and a local motel.

Homes and gardens

and the General Store

which is where you can buy groceries and a cold drink. Lots of visiting takes place here.

Bishop Dickson hosted crusades in the village.

Gabrielle was a big hit with everyone.

The children loved the gatherings

complete with music and dancing

and sometimes a sweet or two.

It was a good time to build relationships

and share the heart of the Father.

The team enjoyed meeting everyone

young and old and in between.

We look forward to going back soon to visit our Kenyan family again.
