We would like to offer you this chance to join hands with us and together we will dig a well which will water the crops on the farm and supply water to the village in times of drought.
$20,000 Canadian is our goal and we would like to ask 200 people to give $100 or 100 people to give $200 as a one time gift or however it works for you!
We are also in need of monthly sponsors to maintain all the current work that is being done. Please consider signing up to be a monthly donor so that we can continue to teach to others how to grow food for their families and to expand our school gardens to reach more children.

“We are thrilled to invite you to join us for our Missions Sunday, Sept. 8th, at Catch the Fire Halifax, 252 Cobequid Road in Lower Sackville. ( Right across from Tim Horton’s past the third set of lights ) at 10:30 a.m.
Courtney Spencer will be very recently home from Bura, Kenya, where she works with the Kenyan Heartbeat Team in the villages surrounding this area of Bura. While talking with Oliver, our manager and Courtney, our missionary, we can see the exciting and wonderful things that God is doing in the hearts of people. Oliver and Courtney’s greatest desire is to bring the message of Father’s heart to the children and people of this area and anywhere they go. God has honoured their love and commitment and we encourage you to come and hear what He has done both nutritionally and spiritually in many lives!”
Come and bring your friends!
There will be a missions offering taken for the ongoing work and for the building project of a school on the farm, where the Mamas can come to learn not only about the gardens, but to do the practical work as well. They will also learn about the Father’s heart for them as individuals, and to receive healing for their hearts. God has a destiny for each one.
See you there!! Everyone Welcome!
Charlie & Elaine / for Heartbeat Team
Tomorrow will be Courtney’s last sunday with us in Nova Scotia! Then on thursday, she is heading off on her first leg of the journey, making her way to Kenya.
Heartbeat Ministries, together with Catch the Fire Halifax, are planning to have a commissioning tomorrow with Courtney, to bless her, anoint her with oil and pray with her. We will also be taking up a special love offering for Courtney.
We would love to have any or all of you there or as many as can make it. We know that some of you have obligations else where and fully understand. But for those of you who can come, please join us in this send off of love and vision! Feel free to invite your friends.
The service begins at 10:30 but you can come early for coffee. The address is 252 Cobequid Road, in Lower Sackville. You can check out this address and directions on Catch the Fire Facebook.
Looking forward to seeing you there!!
With joyful hearts,
Charlie & Elaine / Heartbeat Team

Recently Heartbeat started a lunch program for our 40 children we have been supporting while they are attending school. When Oliver informed our kids about the program, one child told him that because of severe drought the other children at their school were not receiving lunch either. The child proceeded to inform Oliver that the 40 children would rather go hungry than eat lunch in front of the other children who had nothing to eat. Thanks to God our food program has quickly evolved from 40 to 240 children!
Oliver has told us that the children are now very happy, no longer fall asleep in class and are able to fully take part in their studies!
If you would like to help us with our feeding programs please email us at email@example.com.
Through generous donations we have received enough funding to build one children’s home on the farm! We have recently broken the ground and the foundation will be laid soon.
The guys working hard at the farm. Everyone is really excited to build a safe and loving place for the children.
Wouldn’t you love to live between two mango trees?!?
Ready for the foundation
See how one brick is made! here: MOV02684
Our goal is 8 children’s homes which would house 8 children and one mama each. We are building homes which will be placed in a circle, we desire for the children to be in a place they can call home, in a community where they are loved and well taken care of. If you would like to join the effort email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your support, here are some photos of the waterline built in 2012. Through your generous donations we have built a second waterline to reach another village in Bura that was struggling to obtain water for their families and their new keyhole gardens.
Many members of the community came to help.
The end result….water!
From Heartbeat, the elders in Bura, and members of the Bura community we want to want to give a huge thank you to all our partners for making this waterline possible!
