It was a wonderful day

Tomorrow we will go up into Taita Hills which is a beautiful and interesting drive into the hills that surround Bura. Much has been accomplished with so very little, and not one nail or stick is wasted! It takes so little to give them hope and our hearts yearn to get home and with the help of the Lord, do His desire for His people here. The young men are busy all the time working and then studying, but laughing and singing with joy that they have a home and they are loved!!  Continue reading »

Exciting things happening in Bura, Kenya!

We have one water purifier up and running and one big one to go next week and if it works properly it will do all of the water supply.!!!!!!!! So please pray that we can get it all up and running. This is like a miracle to me and the team and we know that god is so on this as their water supply is crucial.

Also the organics for orphans will arrive before we leave to train 12 of our people here to plant and take care of…

We are having an amazing time watching GOD do incredible things in our midst with the students. We saw hearts healed and HOLY SPIRIT moving powerfully. Ben’s music was so awesome. We are hoping to put some on our web soon.

Getting settled

So the bush plane ride to Bura was wonderful, and despite the weeks of rain they were having and mud galore, it was a smooth landing and a beautiful, sunny day. They had to be re-routed through “safari land” to get to the farm because of all of the transport trucks stuck in the mud, and although it took an hour of driving (instead of 20 mins.) they got to see elephants. How cool is that? They are starting to settle into the farm, getting it all clean and de-bugged; at the same time, dodging flyi…

Team has arrived in Kenya

The team has arrived safely in Bura with a beautiful ceremonial greeting. Hopefully more details to follow. Can’t wait to hear about the bush plane ride.

Upcoming Africa trip!

We leave Oct 15th for Bura Kenya, with a team of 10. This will be the first time that Heartbeat will take a couple and their daughter, to stay behind for a six month missionary help to our team and people there. We are so excited about all that God is preparing in our hearts for this trip!

Our main fund raising for October is for school desks, which are $30 a piece and we need 200 desks for the High school. Also for two more water tanks to use during the droughts. They a re $1200.00 each installed. They hold 10,000 litres of water. This is critical with all the drought in east Kenya that is killing vegetation, animals and bringing great hardship to the people.
