Organic Agricultural Training School
Equipping communities with tools to prosper
We believe in giving a hand-up to communities; equipping people with the education and tools they need to become fully self sufficient and prosperous despite the harsh living climates. Led by our Kenyan Directors, the Organic Agriculture Training School provides hands-on learning opportunities on creating organic double dug gardens, keyhole gardens, and strategies for living sustainably off of the land, including how to make different types of natural medicine.
We currently have 9 community groups ongoing with our outreach program, involving over 170 members. Across Taita Taveta County, Heartbeat Farm is known as an integral part of the region!

Heartbeat Mamas
These are groups of Mothers in the community or surrounding villages, who come together to be taught and to take part in our Organic Gardening program. This enables them to grow a great quantity of produce in a small piece of land, which will provide for a family of five and also give them enough revenue to help send their children to the public school.
