 EPISODE 9. Tippy tap

A tippy tap is a makeshift hand washing station made from three sticks, rope, a bar of soap, and a plastic container. Its important to have these at you home or shamba, so after a hard days work you can easily wash your hands before preparing supper. In some cases mamas will tend to their gardens, clean their children, and prepare supper with only the material from their leso (a piece of clothing women wear around their hips). Having a tippy tap stops the spread of bacteria. As Oliver says at the end of this episode, "you cannot work, if you're sick."
